Can You Redesign My Divi Site?
The short answer
Yes. Divi-to-custom WordPress migration is similar in scope to Elementor migration. Pricing: $5,000-$8,000 for Standard tier. Timeline: 14-16 days (Divi adds 1-2 days for shortcode-heavy content extraction). Includes 301 mapping, content extraction, custom block theme, and Divi decommission.
№ 01The longer answer
Divi migrations work the same way Elementor migrations do, with one extra layer of friction. Divi stores layout data as nested shortcodes in the post body — harder to parse than Elementor’s JSON, which adds 1-2 days to the content extraction pass.
What you get: the same performance lift Elementor migrations produce. LCP drops from typical Divi values (2.8-4.2s) to 1.1-1.6s. Lighthouse Performance lifts from 35-55 to 85-95. Plugin count drops from 12-18 to 4-6. Database residue (Divi Theme Options, custom CSS, et_-prefixed postmeta) gets cleaned out 1-2 weeks post-launch.
Divi-specific risks: the Theme Options panel stores ~200 settings in wp_options that don’t survive the migration. Most are cosmetic (color schemes, font choices) and we rebuild them in the new theme. A few are functional (custom CSS, custom JavaScript) and we audit + port these during migration.
Pricing is identical to Elementor migrations because the deliverable is the same. The extra 1-2 days of extraction work is absorbed in our pricing. National agencies sometimes charge a Divi premium citing ‘complexity’; we don’t.
№ 02Will my Divi Library items survive migration?
No, but they get rebuilt as native WordPress block patterns. The functionality is preserved; the storage location moves from Divi Library to WordPress Reusable Blocks.
№ 03What about Divi Theme Builder layouts?
These get rebuilt as FSE templates. Header, footer, archive layouts, single-post layouts — all reimplemented in native FSE. Behavior is preserved.
№ 04Can I migrate from Divi to Elementor instead?
Yes, but we don’t recommend it. Both are page builders with the same performance overhead. If you’re paying for a migration, migrate to a custom theme — the performance lift is the point.
