Ecommerce on WooCommerce. Not Shopify.
$6K–$22K builds. 21–50 days. Florida sales tax automated. Custom checkout, schema baked in. You own the code, the data, the database — and pay your payment processor directly.
02 — The Problem
You need Ecommerce (WooCommerce) because off-the-shelf isn’t cutting it.
You’re paying Shopify rent every month forever.
Platform fee + transaction fee on top of payment processor fee. Your $1M store is paying $25K–$40K over 5 years for the privilege of being on their servers. WooCommerce gets you off the meter.
Your Wix or Squarespace store can’t rank for anything.
Their SEO ceiling is real. Their schema is hard-coded. Their content tools are limited. You moved to ecommerce — but lost organic traffic doing it.
Your product catalog needs custom merchandising logic.
Variants, B2B price tiers, dealer logins, geo-restricted SKUs, ERP sync. Off-the-shelf platforms can’t model your actual business.
Florida sales tax is a compliance nightmare on Shopify.
Hillsborough 7.5%. Pinellas 7%. Your storefront ships to all 67 counties. WooCommerce + TaxJar handles it automatically. Shopify’s tool charges per-transaction.

06 — FAQ
The questions we get most.
If your question isn’t here, the audit conversation is the right place to ask.
Why WooCommerce and not Shopify?
Shopify is fine — for businesses that fit Shopify’s box. Their SEO ceiling is real (limited schema, URL constraints, slower content velocity). Their fees compound (transaction fees on top of payment processor fees). Their lock-in is real (your customer list, loyalty program, gift cards — all in their database, not yours).
WooCommerce gives you the same merchandising power on a platform you own. With proper hosting (Kinsta / Cloudways), performance is comparable or better. And it scales — companies running 50,000+ products on WooCommerce are common.
Can you migrate from Shopify?
Yes. Products, customers, order history, and subscription accounts. URLs preserved with 301 redirects so you keep SEO equity. Migration runs $1.5K–$4K depending on catalog size.
The catch: subscription billing sometimes requires customer re-authorization due to processor restrictions. We coordinate with your payment processor to minimize disruption.
What about Florida sales tax across all 67 counties?
Handled automatically. WooCommerce + a tax engine (TaxJar or Avalara) calculates the right rate per shipping address. Hillsborough 7.5%, Pinellas 7%, Miami-Dade 7%, etc. You don’t manage rate tables manually.
What if my project doesn’t fit any of these tiers?
Most don’t fit perfectly. The tier numbers are scoping anchors, not menu items. The audit conversation maps your actual scope to the closest tier with documented adjustments.
Sub-floor (e.g., a single landing page rebuild) we refer out. Ceiling-plus enterprise we custom-scope. Within range, we’ll tell you exactly which tier you land in.
Do you write the copy or do I?
You provide copy by default. We can write it as an add-on. We’re very good at structural copy — section headers, hierarchy, CTA framing — but we don’t pretend to be your industry’s content expert.
Do you offer maintenance after launch?
30 days post-launch monitoring included with every build. After that, optional WordPress Care Plan runs $200–$800/mo for updates, security monitoring, backups, and monthly performance reports.
If you have an in-house developer, they can take over fully. The site is standard FSE WordPress — anyone competent can maintain it.
