Can You Redesign Without Changing the CMS?

The short answer

Yes. If your site is on WordPress, Webflow, or Next.js, we can redesign without migrating off the platform. We typically swap from page builders (Elementor, Divi) to native WordPress block themes during the redesign, which improves performance without changing the CMS.

Most of our redesigns keep WordPress as the CMS. The site goes from Elementor or Divi (page builder) to a custom WordPress block theme (native FSE). The CMS, database, plugin stack, and admin experience all stay WordPress — only the theme architecture changes.

The CMS doesn’t need to change for a redesign to work. What needs to change: the theme (if it’s a template), the page-builder dependency (if you’re on Elementor or Divi), the plugin stack (down from 17-22 to 4-6), and the schema markup. All achievable inside WordPress.

When the CMS does need to change: if you’re on Wix or Squarespace (we migrate to WordPress for plugin access and customization), or if you’re on a proprietary CMS (Drupal 6, custom legacy system) that’s no longer supported. Outside those cases, staying on WordPress is the default.

Webflow and Next.js redesigns we also handle in-place. Webflow design rebuilds (no CMS swap) run $3,500-$6,500. Next.js redesigns (rebuilding the marketing site without touching the underlying app) run $6K-$12K depending on framework version and component complexity.

№ 02Will my admin login work the same?

Yes. Same WordPress login, same dashboard. The block editor experience changes slightly (cleaner, simpler than Elementor) but the URLs and credentials are preserved.

№ 03What if I want to switch CMS?

We do that too. Wix-to-WordPress is $5-8K. Squarespace-to-WordPress is $5-8K. Drupal-to-WordPress is $8-15K. The migration is treated as a Standard or Authority tier redesign with extra extraction work.

№ 04Will my existing plugins work after the redesign?

The ones worth keeping, yes. We audit your plugin stack at Day 1 and recommend which to keep, which to swap, and which to remove. Typical plugin count drops from 17-22 to 4-6.
