How Many Revision Rounds Are Included?
The short answer
Two revision rounds per stage (architecture, design, build, launch). That’s 8 revision rounds total across the 14-day build. Beyond that, additional rounds are $150/hour or deferred to Care Plan hours post-launch.
№ 01The longer answer
The 14-day build has four stages: architecture (Days 1-3), design (Days 4-7), build (Days 8-11), launch QA (Days 12-14). Each stage has a demo at the midpoint and end. Each demo is a revision opportunity. That’s 8 total revision opportunities, which is more than most agencies offer.
Why 2 per stage: any more and the project stops moving forward. Any fewer and you don’t have enough chances to course-correct. Two is the discipline that keeps the 14-day timeline real while still giving you control over outcomes.
What counts as ‘a revision’: a discrete set of changes captured in a single feedback document. Not: ‘change A, then I’ll look again, then change B.’ That’s 2 revisions in your head, which is fine, but it pre-uses the revision budget for the stage.
When 2 rounds isn’t enough: structural disagreements at the architecture stage are the riskiest. If we disagree about sitemap or IA, we pause and have a working session before counting it as a ‘revision round.’ The revision budget is for execution, not strategic disagreement.
№ 02What if I need a third revision?
Available at $150/hour, billed in 30-min increments. Or deferred to post-launch via Care Plan. Most clients use 1-2 of the included rounds per stage and never hit the additional-round threshold.
№ 03Can revision rounds be banked across stages?
No. Each stage has its own budget. The reason: it forces decisions at each stage rather than letting them slide to launch.
№ 04What if I want to change scope mid-project?
Scope is locked at end of Day 3. Mid-project scope changes are either deferred to post-launch or kill the locked-scope discipline (and the 14-day timeline). We hard-line this — flexibility on scope is the wrong place to flex.
