How Much Does a Custom Website Cost in Tampa: 2026 Pricing Breakdown

14 days kickoff → live $3K–$15K+ scope-tiered WCAG 2.1 AA baseline

Most Tampa agencies refuse to publish pricing because they want to negotiate on a discovery call. We publish it because we’d rather filter out wrong-fit clients before the call. Here’s the actual 2026 cost of a custom website in Tampa, by tier, with what’s included and what isn’t.

№ 01Tier 01: Starter ($3,000)

The Starter tier replaces a Wix, Squarespace, or template WordPress site. 8-12 pages, custom block-theme WordPress, mobile responsive, WCAG 2.1 AA, basic contact form, GA4 wired. Built in 7-10 days.

Who it’s for: SMBs doing $500K-$1.5M annual revenue who need a real site but don’t yet have multi-service marketing complexity. Not enough budget for the Standard tier? This is the right answer. Need more than 12 pages? Move up a tier.

What’s NOT included: custom illustration, programmatic SEO pages, integrations beyond basic form-to-email, custom photography direction.

№ 02Tier 02: Standard ($5,000)

The Standard tier is the default for established Tampa businesses. 25-40 pages, custom block-theme WordPress, conversion-tuned forms, lead routing, custom photography direction, click-to-call mobile, topical content clustering, neighborhood pages (e.g. ‘service-Brandon’, ‘service-Westshore’). Built in 14 days.

Who it’s for: $1M-$10M Tampa Bay businesses with a real sales motion. Most clients land here. It’s the right tier when you have a complex enough offering to need 5-8 service pages AND you want local SEO coverage across Hillsborough County.

What’s NOT included: ecommerce checkout, multi-language, SaaS dashboard integration.

№ 03Tier 03: Authority ($8,000)

The Authority tier is for businesses with multi-service complexity or programmatic SEO opportunity. 40-70 pages, custom block-theme WordPress, advanced lead routing, CRM integration (HubSpot/Salesforce/Pipedrive), service × location matrix (40+ combo pages), schema markup at scale, multi-step forms with conditional logic, advanced GA4 + Tag Manager setup. Built in 14-21 days.

Who it’s for: $5M-$20M Tampa businesses with serious organic strategy ambitions. Multiple service lines. Need to rank for ‘service + location’ across Hillsborough County. Built-in analytics for pipeline attribution.

What’s NOT included: ecommerce, custom application development, multilingual.

№ 04What affects pricing within a tier

The tiers are starting points, not menu items. Inside each, pricing shifts based on: number of service categories, number of locations (for combo pages), CRM complexity, photography needs (we direct, you provide budget separately), copy authoring scope (we write structural copy by default; full content authoring is $1,500-$4,000 add-on), and integration complexity (HubSpot is included; custom NetSuite integration is custom-quoted).

What does NOT affect pricing: number of revision rounds (2 per stage, locked), number of design demos (mid-sprint + end of sprint, locked), accessibility compliance (WCAG 2.1 AA is always baseline).

№ 05What competitors charge for the same scope

WebFX, Blue Corona, and the national agencies typically quote $25K-$60K for a Standard-tier-equivalent build. Their fee includes ongoing SEO retainer, paid ads management, and email marketing — bundles we don’t sell.

Tampa boutique agencies charge $8K-$25K for similar scope. Quality is variable; some are excellent, some are former freelancers who scaled up too fast. Upwork freelancers charge $1,500-$6,000 and the variance is enormous.

The honest math: at $5,000, we’re priced below national agencies and competitive with the better Tampa boutiques. The trade-off you’re making vs. the cheaper end is: faster delivery (14 days), tighter scope discipline, and engineering depth on conversion + Core Web Vitals.

What to avoid

  • Negotiating tier without changing scope. The tier price reflects the scope. We won’t drop the Standard tier to $3,500 by removing features after you’ve signed — that’s just delivery you’ve paid for that we won’t deliver.
  • Bundling unrelated services to feel like more value. We don’t run paid ads, we don’t manage email campaigns, we don’t do PR. If you need those, hire specialists. Bundling is how agencies hide underperformance.
  • Comparing the sticker price without comparing scope. A $3,000 freelancer build with a template and 4 plugins is not the same product as a $3,000 custom WordPress Starter. Compare line items, not totals.
