How Do You Handle Product Images?

14 days kickoff → live $3K–$15K+ scope-tiered WCAG 2.1 AA baseline

The short answer

You provide the images (or hire a product photographer — we have a list of Tampa-based photographers we recommend). We handle optimization: ShortPixel or Imagify for WebP/AVIF conversion, responsive size generation, lazy loading, CDN delivery. Per-image weight under 150KB target.

№ 01The longer answer

Photography is your responsibility (or your photographer’s). For a 100-500 SKU catalog, budget $50-$150 per product for professional photography — 5-8 angles per product, white-background plus lifestyle, scale references. We have three Tampa-based product photographers we refer to with rates in this range.

What we handle: image optimization stack. ShortPixel or Imagify ($10-$30/month) auto-converts every upload to WebP and AVIF, generates 5-6 responsive sizes (thumbnail, small, medium, large, full), lazy-loads via native browser attribute. Per-image weight after optimization: under 150KB for hero/PDP images, under 50KB for grid thumbnails.

CDN delivery via Bunny.net ($1-$10/month for typical traffic) serves the optimized images from 100+ global edge locations. Combined with Kinsta or Pressable hosting’s built-in CDN, image loading is fast everywhere — not just Tampa.

Bulk image management for 500+ SKU catalogs: we use WP All Import or custom scripts to bulk-upload product images mapped by SKU. Saves 20-40 hours of manual upload work. For ongoing additions, your team uses the standard WooCommerce admin or a CSV import.

№ 02Can you do the photography for me?

No — we don’t shoot product photography. We refer to three Tampa-based photographers with WooCommerce-friendly workflows. Their rates: $50-$150 per product, $30-$50 per additional angle.

№ 03What if I have only phone-camera photos?

We’ll launch with what you have, but we’ll be honest: phone-camera-on-white-background photography caps your conversion 12-22% below professional photography. Plan to upgrade in the first 90 days.

№ 04Do you handle 360 spins or product video?

Yes. 360 spins via Magic360 plugin ($79). Product video via standard HTML5 video on PDPs. Production we’d refer out to a video shop.
