What Payment Gateways Do You Support?

14 days kickoff → live $3K–$15K+ scope-tiered WCAG 2.1 AA baseline

The short answer

Stripe (default), Authorize.net (B2B preferred), Square (retail + online), PayPal (secondary), Klarna and Affirm (BNPL for sub-$2K AOV). Apple Pay and Google Pay configured natively via Stripe. ACH via Stripe or Authorize.net for B2B.

№ 01The longer answer

Stripe is our default for new builds: 2.9% + $0.30 base rate (down to 2.5% + $0.30 at volume), best developer experience, native Apple Pay and Google Pay, Stripe Link for one-click returning customers, Stripe Billing for subscriptions, Stripe Tax built-in. For 80% of our ecommerce clients, Stripe is the right answer.

Authorize.net for B2B-heavy clients with existing bank merchant accounts. The rate runs 2.5%-2.9% + gateway fees ($25/mo) and can be negotiated to 2.2%-2.5% with volume. ACH at $0.25-$0.75/transaction beats Stripe’s 0.8% capped ACH for high-AOV B2B orders.

Square when the client has unified retail + online inventory. The Square plugin syncs products and inventory between in-person Square POS and the WooCommerce store. Rate: 2.9% + $0.30 online, 2.6% + $0.10 in-person. Caveat: sync isn’t instant (5-15 min lag); plan for it.

PayPal as secondary on most B2C stores (15-25% of US buyers prefer it). Klarna and Affirm for BNPL when AOV is $200-$2,000 — lifts conversion 30-50% in those categories but costs 4-6% in fees. We configure all of these in build; the client picks which to enable.

№ 02Can I add Apple Pay and Google Pay?

Yes, via Stripe. One configuration step, no extra cost beyond Stripe’s standard rate. Mobile conversion typically lifts 25-40% on the mobile cohort after enabling.

№ 03Do you support cryptocurrency?

Yes, via Coinbase Commerce or BitPay if requested. Rate: 1% + network fees. Less than 1% of our clients enable it; mostly for niche stores with specific customer cohorts.

№ 04What about international payment methods (SEPA, BACS, iDEAL)?

Yes, via Stripe’s native methods. SEPA Direct Debit for EU, BACS for UK, iDEAL for NL all configured in one Stripe dashboard. Recommended for stores doing $50K+/year internationally.
