Wix is the right answer if your business does under $500K annual revenue, your sales aren’t website-driven, and you have under 500 monthly visitors. Above any of those thresholds, custom WordPress pays back faster.

Wix works for businesses where the website is a business card, not a sales tool. If your customers find you via referral, your phone rings without web inquiries, and your monthly traffic is in the low hundreds, Wix is genuinely fine. Don’t pay an agency $3,000 to build a custom site that won’t be the bottleneck.

Wix breaks at scale. The platform’s performance plateaus around 25-40 pages. SEO is locked to Wix’s URL structure and schema implementation. You can’t migrate without rebuilding.
